Even though each day is getting a little longer, in most parts of the country it is still cold. That is even true for here. The nights especially get cold at the beach. I find that it is so warming to burn candles around our house. I have at least one burning in each main room. It also seems to be a reminder of the holiday past, just a tiny flicker of festivities still surviving.
This is a great time for blending favorites or new scents. There really are no expectations around a particular season and this time of year I like to experiment. Right now I am burning
Thai Lemongrass with
Mediterranean Fig and
Sandalwood, all in my living room. In the kitchen I am burning
Tuscan Blood Orange and
Atlantic Rosemary. Try your favorite combinations or come up with some new ones.
On another note, I also have been slathering myself with
body butter this time of year. It really keeps my skin from drying out. And here, too, it is fun to experiment with layer scents. I am really enjoying
Mediterranean Fig with
Thai Lemongrass. I like the warmer scents when it is cold. Of course,
Sandalwood is always my favorite.
I'd love to hear about your favorite combinations.
Keep Warm and Enjoy!
